Rodez airport is a small airport located approximately 10km outside of the centre of town. It has a single terminal and an annual capacity of 165,000 people.

To get there by car head north or south on the A75 to Séverac le Château, then trunk road RN88 to Rodez. This route continues on past Rodez to Albi and Toulouse.

Thanks to the daily Ryanair flights between London Stansted and Rodez-Marcillac Airport, getting to Rodez and the Aveyron is easier than ever! This airport also hosts three daily links with Paris, two with Lyon, one for London and two a week for Dublin.

Rodez Airport has one international runway of 2km in length, as well as a second, small runway of 800m in length. It is an ideal airport for reaching the departments of Aveyron, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Lot, Hérault, Gard, Lozère and Cantal.

Rodez Airport operates flights from Paris with Air France and from Lyon with Hexair.

Rodez taxis can be hired from just outside the terminal building. You can pre-book but it's not really worth the bother. A taxi to the centre of town will cost you around €13.00

There are about five local Rodez taxi firms that work the airport. They are all metered so you won't have to worry about the driver making up a hefty bill when you arrive as can happen in some countries.

There is car parking at Rodez airport for 200 cars, and unless they've changed it since I was last there the car park is free. This isn't unusual for a small airport in France.

The car park is just outside the main terminal building and baggage trolleys are available from inside the terminal building.

There is a small cafe in the terminal building where you can get a limited selection of food and drinks.

With small airports like Rodez it's not a bad idea to come prepared with a few drinks and snacks of your own to keep you going.
