Information
Montpellier Airport is located about 5 mins from Junction 29 of the A9 motorway and as such is very easy to find. Just follow the signs for "Aeroport Montpellier Mediterranee".
Montpellier Airport is ranked as the 9th largest airport in France and the main airport in the Languedoc.
If you're flying in to Montpellier then you'll find the Montpellier Airport arrivals hall in the main terminal building on the ground floor, just as you come through baggage reclaim.
It's actually in the same building and on the same floor as Montpellier Airport departures so you'll find it easy to find your way around when it's time to go home. Just have a look off to your right as you come through baggage reclaim into the main hall and you'll see the check in areas for departures.

There
are several options available for flights
from the UK to Montpellier. You can either fly from Gatwick to Montpellier or from Stansted to Montpellier.
Both these routes have flight times of around two hours or less. Ryanair quotes around 1 hour and 40 minutes and tend to be pretty well on time.
Shopping & Cafes
Shops
and Cafes at Montpellier airport are quite good for a small airport
but nothing compared to a large international airport such as Heathrow
or Gatwick.
Follow this link for detailed information about shopping at Montpellier airport.
If you're flying with out of Montpellier Airport then you'll probably have to kill a bit of time before you go to your departure gate. There's pretty much nothing once you go through into the departure lounge so I suggest you stay in the main terminal area for as long as possible.
When you do go through into the departure lounge you'll find a tiny gift shop and a tiny cafe/bar. These seem to only be open during the summer season.
But don't worry. There are bars and restaurants at Montpellier Airport located in the main terminal building before you go through to Montpellier Airport departures.
Montpellier Airport Taxis
If
you're goin to need to take a taxi from the airport then don't worry.
They're easy to find and are all metered so you won't get ripped off.
As you come through baggage reclaim into the main hall you'll see the doors leaving the terminal building straight ahead of you. Go through these doors and you'll see the Montpellier airport taxis all lined up in front of you. If you decide that you don't want to wait in line then you might want to consider private Montpellier Transfers.
Montpellier Airport Buses
If
you're flying into Montpellier and you need to get into the centre
of town, then it's very easy to take Montpellier Airport buses.
There are buses that run between the airport's main terminal building and the centre of Montpellier seven days a week.
Departure times generally coincide with flight arrival times and flight departure times. You can see a timetable for Montpellier airport buses here.
