Carcassonne Airport is located just off junction 23 of the A61 motorway.
The signposting is a bit vague so when you come off the motorway follow signs for Mazamet. You will then see signs for the airport, which is called Salvaza and is just 3km from the ancient medieval town of Carcassonne.

The airport is 91 kms from Toulouse located on the A64 which can also be reached by train in just over an hour.

Shopping options at Carcassone Airport are somewhat limited with a single shop covered by an orange canvas awning.
They sell quote an extensive range of regional products including cassoulet, fois gras, terrines, olive oil, soaps and bath oils.
If you purchase any of these products remember that to shop before you check in as they have to be placed in your hold luggage.
The shop also sells items for your flight including a small selection of toys, books, magazines and newspapers.
