Wines of Domaine De Fontsainte
Domaine De Fontsainte (one of
many wine
domaines of languedoc) is set in the heart of the celebrated
Corbieres region of the languedoc, about 3km from the village of "Boutenac"
between Narbonne and Carcassonne.
The vineyards of Domaine De Fontsainte are established on detrical red sandstone at the foot of large pinewoods not far from the Hermitage of Saint Simeon.
The vines benefit from a South-east exposure and are protected from the cold winds. Harvested at peak ripeness, the grape varieties are those traditionally associated with the region: Carignan, Grenache Noir, Cinsault and the newly introduced Mourvedre and Syrah.
The care and attention of hand-picking the grapes plus their being kept whole throughout the wine-making process, produce languedoc wines of a superior ruby colour with complex and subtle perfumes.
The Fontsainte wine is marked by it's rigorous and fleshy character, fully rounded thanks to an ageing in barrels made from Merrain Oak. A truly harmonious and authentic wine.
Open from 15th June to 15th October between 9am and 12pm and 3pm to 6pm
and from 15th November to 15th May from 10am to 12pm and 3pm to 6pm
